COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A Coeur d’Alene favorite is closing its doors permanently.

Shenanigans Sweets and Treats has been a downtown stop for many families over the past nine years.

“We have enjoyed being a part of Coeur d’Alene’s downtown community for 9 years and are sad to say this is the outcome from the current economic climate. This decision did not come easily,” the owners said in a statement.

The shop will hold a liquidation sale starting on June 1. Everything will be buy one, get one offers, as well as 50 percent off. Everything in the store, including equipment, displays, candy, games and toys, must be out of the shop by June 15.

“To all of you who have supported us over the years and voted us the Best Chocolate/Candy Store 3 years in a row, thank you for believing in us. From the bottom of our hearts, we will miss you tremendously. Please continue to stay safe and healthy!”
