Severe thunderstorms, hail and gusty winds to hit the Inland Northwest on Sunday

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Inland Northwest will be seeing intense thunderstorms with hail and gusty winds Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

According to computer models, NWS forecasts the highest risk for thunderstorms will be between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. They anticipate crop and property damage, as hail is expected to vary between .5 and 1.5 inches.

NWS says that the bulk of the storm will stretch from Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area to Lewiston, and even into parts of Garfield and Columbia counties.
