Two teens killed in Trent Avenue crash early Tuesday morning

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two teenage girls have died from a crash on Trent Ave early Tuesday morning, Washington State Police says.

WSP says the two teenagers died from their injuries.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. just east of Sullivan.

The Washington State Patrol said the two 17-year-old girls were driving in an SUV when they collided with a dump truck. WSP the SUV was going east and turned left, failing to yield to the truck.

A 68-year-old Spirit Lake man driving the dump truck was not injured. WSP says all three people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

4 News Now is choosing not to name the girls who were injured as they are juveniles.
