Senior Night: honoring Davenport’s softball Seniors
SPOKANE, Wash. — Thousands of area high school Seniors had their athletic careers come to an end unexpectedly when the Spring sports season was taken away. We continue to honor our Seniors and recognize their hard work by giving them their own Senior Night moment.
Three Seniors on the Davenport softball team were nominated by their coach Elesha Johnston.
Kiera Condon – Kiera has become the ultimate utility player for the Gorillas over her three years on the team. Her coach says she will do whatever is needed for the team to have success. Kiera is also a volleyball player, in FBLA and the honors society.
Caitlyn Katz – Caitlyn is an excellent defender in centerfield and was set up to really have a big season at the plate as well. Caitlyn also played volleyball for four years and a year of basketball at Davenport. She’s also in the FBLA and honors society. Caitlyn and Kiera are both heading to EWU next year.
Macie Hopkins – Macie spent a year at third base for the Gorillas before moving behind the plate to be the mainstay at catcher for the team. Coach Johnston says Macie is the rock for the Davenport pitching staff. Macie won a pair of state titles in her career one in soccer, on in basketball. She’s also in FFA, FBLA, ASB, and honors society with a 3.9 GPA
