Senator Cantwell questions Facebook CEO Zuckerberg on consumer privacy
WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell questioned Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at a joint Senate committee hearing Tuesday.
Senator Cantwell specifically asked Zuckerberg about Facebook’s efforts to protect consumer data as well as what could be done at the federal level to protect customers.
Senator Cantwell also asked Zuckerberg about Facebook’s interactions with Cambridge Analytica and its history with Palantir, a data analytics company connected to Peter Thiel, a Facebook board member and former Trump advisor.
