Semi carrying berries catches fire along I-90, west of Moses Lake

A semi carrying berries caught fire 17 miles west of Moses Lake. 

A semi-trailer carrying berries caught fire on eastbound I-90, just west of Moses Lake, early Friday morning.

The fire was approximately 17 miles west of Moses Lake. At 8:20 a.m., the fire had been extinguished, but crews were still cleaning up, blocking the right lane of travel.

Firefighters and Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the scene. Public Information Officer Trooper John Bryant said no one was injured.

There is a right lane closure at EB I-90 at milepost 158, approximately 17 miles west of Moses Lake, due to a vehicle fire. Emergency response vehicles are on the scene and travelers should use caution and expect delays.
