SCSO brings back Introduction to Women’s Self-Defense Course
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has brought back their Introduction to Women’s Self-Defense Course. The upcoming class will take place on Saturday, May 19. You can choose to sign up for either the 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., or the 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The class is an introduction to women’s self-defense tactics including deterrents, avoidance, and detection of a personal attack. The class includes a hands-on portion where participants learn basic self-defense maneuvers.
The course is open to the public, females ages 14 and over. The course will be held at the Sheriff’s Training Center, located at 6011 N. Chase Rd, in Newman Lake, WA.
You are asked to bring note-taking material, a water bottle, and a towel. Wear athletic clothes and shoes for the hands-on portion.
The class fee is $35.
