Rui Hachimura named top four finalist for Naismith Trophy
SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga men’s basketball forward Rui Hachimura was named a top finalist for the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year on Tuesday.
Hachimura was named to the final four list alongside Tennessee’s Grant Williams, Murray State’s Ja Morant and Duke’s Zion Williamson.
Should he win, Hachimura would be the first Zag honored with the award. He was recently named WCC Player of the Year.

Fans can vote for their favorite player online at naismithtrophy.com/vote. Voting begins March 22.
The Zags earned a no. 1 seed in the west region of the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs ended their season with a 30-3 record and will take on the winner of the Prairie View A&M vs. Farleigh Dickinson game in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 4:27 p.m. on truTV.
