Rockets guard Chris Paul to miss Game 6

The Houston Rockets won’t have Chris Paul for Saturday night’s Western Conference finals Game 6 against the Golden State Warriors.

Paul, who strained his right hamstring in the final minute of Houston’s Game 5 victory Thursday, was ruled out for the game by the team on Friday.

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni said Paul will travel with the team to Oakland, California, for the game, according to ESPN.

D’Antoni said Eric Gordon, who scored 24 points off the bench in Thursday’s win, will start in Paul’s place.

The Rockets hold a 3-2 series lead and can eliminate the defending champion Warriors with one more win.

The Rockets said Paul’s injury will be re-evaluated when the team returns to Houston after Game 6.
