Riverfront Park outdoor movie series will return this summer
SPOKANE, Wash. — The outdoor movie series at Riverfront Park will return for the summer season.
Epic Events has been offering outdoor movies in the park for the past six years, but in April said they would not be hosting the event again this summer. After Epic Events’ announcement, officials for the park said they were in search of finding a new sponsor to make the event possible.
Now, the annual tradition is back on thanks to new sponsors including WSECU, FunFlicks and iHeartMediaSpokane. Riverfront Park has also partnered with Lime to make the series possible.
This year’s lineup includes family-friendly films, cult classics and a special movie night for people ages 18 and older.
June 12: Benny and Joon (PG)
June 19: Zootopia (PG)
July 10: Back to the Future (PG)
July 17: The Big Lebowski (R)*
July 24: Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG)
August 7: Wizard of Oz (G)
August 14: Space Balls (PG)
August 21: Toy Story (PG)
Movies begin at dusk on Wednesday evenings.
