Resource groups to host domestic violence prevention town hall
SPOKANE, Wash, — In an effort to “end the silence” surrounding domestic violence, local resource groups will host community conversation will be held on May 17 at Eastern Washington University’s Riverpoint campus.
The Spokane Domestic Violence End the Silence Town Hall will feature a panel of representatives from the various community resources that work to combat domestic violence in the community and provide services to victims. Attendees will hear from the YWCA, the Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition, Spokane Police and a survivor of a 16-year domestic violence relationship, among others.
The panel will be held from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. on Thursday at 668 North Riverpoint Boulevard. Attendance is free, but attendees should RSVP at ywcaspokane.org/event/dvtownhall.
