Reports: EWU basketball player Tanner Groves now headed to Oklahoma

CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University transfer and basketball phenom Tanner Groves is headed to Oklahoma.
ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reported the EWU player will be transferring to Oklahoma, and Stadium basketball analyst Jeff Goodman says Groves confirmed the news Sunday.
Groves, a junior transfer, turned heads with his performance in the NCAA Tournament first round game against Kansas. Kansas was a No. 3 seed and had no business getting trouble from the No. 14 seed Eastern, but Groves put up a devastating 35 points—but EWU still lost 84–93.
Groves had previously narrowed down his picks to Washington State, Portland, Texas and Oklahoma.
