Reforest Spokane Day to bring hundreds of volunteers
SPOKANE, Wash. — The largest community tree planting day in Spokane will welcome more than 300 community volunteers.
The Lands Council, in partnership with Avista, is organizing the 8th Reforest Spokane Day on October 13 along Latah and Hangman Creek at High Bridge Park.
This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and pre-registration is required at landscouncil.org.
There will be 1000 trees and native shrubs to plant along the Spokane river. The trees will aid in wildlife habitats, healthy rivers and dissipate pollution.
