Red Cross managing shelter for Angel Springs Fire evacuees
DAVENPORT, Wash. — The American Red Cross, in cooperation with Lincoln County, is managing the existing wildfire evacuation shelter at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, in Davenport. The shelter is for people who had to leave their homes because of the Angel Springs Fire.
The fairgrounds is located at 1601 Morgan Street.
The Angel Springs Fire has burned nearly 5,000 acres so far and is threatening homes.
According to a media release, evacuating residents should bring prescriptions and emergency medication, extra clothing, pillows, hygiene supplies, important documents, and other comfort items. The Red Cross also suggests bringing diapers, formulas, and toys if you have children and infants.
The Red Cross is asking for donations to help with disaster relief. People can donate by visiting www.redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
