Rain tonight, then a dry and cool Friday – Matt
SPOKANE, Wash.– Expect some wet weather on Thursday evening around the Inland Northwest, but we’ll be rewarded on Friday as a result of tonight’s storm!
Rain will spread across the region during the evening with heavier rain coming closer to midnight when a cold front sweeps over the WA-ID state line. We could hear a rumble of thunder late tonight as the front moves through. Winds will also pick up tonight and it will stay breezy into Friday morning.
Temperatures will sink through the 40s during the evening and bottom out in the mid-30s early Friday morning. Yes, there might be some frost out there again! Good news here though, this should be the last time for a while we’ll need to cover our garden plants.
Temperatures will be quite cool on Friday despite partly to mostly sunny skies through the day. Highs will only reach the mid 50s around Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. Overall, Friday looks like it’s going to be pretty nice.
There’s a lot going on this weekend! We’ve got the Jr. Lilac Parade in Spokane, Skyfest at Fairchild, and a lunar eclipse on Sunday night! Sadly the weather won’t be picture perfect. Saturday will be showery with highs in the 50s. Sunday will have less rain, but there will still be a chance during the evening. It will be much warmer though on Sunday too, close to 70! Keep this in mind when you’re making your weekend plans.
