Purchase a handmade quilt for a cause at the annual Our Place Community Outreach fundraiser
SPOKANE, Wash. — Our Place Community Outreach is holding its 11th annual fundraiser to raise money for those in Spokane who need it most.
This year’s fundraiser, Stagelights, will take place on Thursday, January 30 at Gonzaga University’s Myrtle Woldson Theatre. It will feature a reception, silent and live auction, as well as a performance of “Dancing at Lughnasa” from the Gonzaga theatre department.
This year’s auction will feature a Gonzaga material quilt, hand-made by one of the organization’s volunteers.
Our Place is located in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood. It provides food, hygiene and clothing items to those in need.
According to a release, the organization serves roughly 12,000 people annually. Of those people, Our Place says 58% are either children or the elderly.
Our Place is privately funded and is always welcome to accepting donations, according to its website.
