Pullman Subway manager dubbed world’s fastest sandwich artist for second time
PULLMAN, Wash. — Pullman is once again home to the world’s fastest sandwich artist.
For the second time in three years, Sara Tiegs took home the Global Sub Jammers trophy in this year’s international championship.
Tiegs manages the Main Street Subway in Pullman, where she has worked for 18 years.
During the competition, which was hosted at Subway’s Global Convention in Toronto, Tiegs built a turkey sandwich in just 48.9 seconds.
“I like the relationships you get to build with the other people you see attending convention,” said Tiegs.
“It’s really cool to meet people from around the world and become friends.”
Along with the trophy, Tiegs took home $6,000 for her speedy sandwich-making abilities.
