Pullman Police Department celebrates Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week

The Pullman Police Department is helping to celebrate Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, which runs the week of April 8 through April 14. The week celebrates professionalism among animal care and control professionals nationwide.

The Pullman Police Department is recognizing their three full-time code enforcement officers, Elizabeth Oje, Emily Johns, and Ashley Lam. In addition to their parking and code enforcement duties, the CEOs handle animal control for the City of Pullman.

The CEOs work to protect and educate the public about local animals, while also helping local animals suffering from disease, injury, abuse or starvation. In 2017, Pullman PD responded to around 700 calls for animal-related service in the city.
