Pullman businesses left severely damaged by flood waters
PULLMAN, Wash. — Flood waters rushed into several Pullman businesses Tuesday night.
Heavy rain and snowfall caused waterways to overflow into the streets. Several roads were completely covered with flood waters and many buildings had three to four feet of water inside.
Businesses along Grand Avenue, on the western edge of Washington State University’s campus, are now left with severe damage.
At Snap Fitness, flood waters overcame sandbags and brought tons of mud and debris inside. This is what the inside of the gym looked like Wednedsay morning:
Another office space, which looks like it could have been some sort of medical practice, was nearly destroyed.
A car washed up into the front of the buliding and it appears several glass doors were blown out.
Just across the street at Sunshine North Laudromat, floodwaters left muddy floors:
Cars that were left in parking lots along Grand Ave. were also damaged. It appears floodwaters picked several of these cars up, causing them to run into one another:
