Project Beauty Share prepares to assemble 2,000 holiday beauty bags for local women in need

The assembly line at Project Beauty Share is ready for volunteers to begin stuffing 2,000 holiday beauty bags for women in need in our community. For the organization that helps to supply local women in need with things like feminine hygiene projects, make-up and haircare products year-round, the holiday beauty bags have become their favorite tradition. It started 9 years ago with just 75 bags that they hand delivered.

Julie Farley, founder and executive director of Project Beauty Share said, “with the growth we’ve had for the agencies we are now serving over 70 agencies, organizations and shelters, we really felt like we needed to step it up.”

Each bag is stuffed with shampoo, conditioner, lipstick, mascara and a comb. Some recipients say it’s the only gift they receive during the holidays.
