Prepare for snow on your morning commute
SPOKANE, Wash. — You might want to set your alarm a few minutes earlier before you go to bed tonight.
Light snow is developing across the Inland Northwest this evening. It won’t amount to much, but it could cause some problems for the Wednesday morning commute.
Most locations around Spokane and Coeur d’Alene will get less than 1″ of snow. The snow should taper off in the morning, and as we warm to highs in the mid 30s, most of it will melt.
The next storm system moves in Wednesday night, and will bring mostly rain to the valleys, and heavy snow to the mountains through Friday morning.
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued for the northern and central Idaho Panhandle above 3,000′. 8 – 14″ of snow can be expected there with isolated areas picking up 20″.
