Post Falls man arrested for DUI after rolling UTV, ejecting passengers
POST FALLS, Idaho — Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for driving under the influence after he rolled a UTV and injured its passengers.
Deputies responded to an accident call near Signal Point Road and Mariah Road early Saturday evening, where they found an overturned UTV. The Sheriff’s Office says it was being driven by 18-year-old Raven Blackburn, who was driving it with an adult and 16-year-old passenger.
According to deputies, Blackburn lost control of the UTV while driving, and rolled—ejecting the adult passenger and pinning the juvenile. The passengers were transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says none of the occupants had seat belts or helmets on.
Blackburn was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence, and was issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol and failure to purchase a driver’s license.
