SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police arrested a man early Wednesday morning who they say admitted to being involved in another man’s murder and told police where they could find the body.

Police say 24-year-old Cameron Walker told an officer at the downtown police precinct that he had been involved in a homicide and wanted to turn himself in.

With information from Walker, officers went to the apartment building on 200 W. Sprague Ave, where they found a man dead inside one of the apartments.

Based on preliminary information, officers say they had probably cause to arrest Walker on first degree murder charges. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail.

Major Crimes detectives have since picked up the investigation, with help from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Forensic Unit.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the man found dead at a later time.
