Police: Man Offers Grandmother Money For Kids

Coeur d’Alene Police arrested a 34-year-old man for trying to pay a grandmother for her granddaughters.

Officers responded to the area of North 3rd Street Wednesday afternoon and learned Shan Anderson tried to lure kids twice.

The first happened at the same location earlier in the day. Police say Anderson tried to lure a young boy walking home from school. He then offered a grandmother money in exchange for her granddaughters.

Anderson was arrested and taken to Kootenai County Jail. He is charged with Attempted Child Enticing, Disturbing the Peace and Attempted Child Custodial Interference.
