Police In Eugene Investigate Christmas-Linked Bias Crimes

EUGENE, ORE. — Police in Eugene say two private nativity scenes at separate locations in the city had infant Jesus figures stolen from their mangers and replaced with actual pig’s heads.

The thefts are being investigated as potential bias crimes.

Police say that although the crimes were reported Thursday afternoon, they could have taken place at any time Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

Eugene Police Department is seeking the public’s help with any leads in the two cases.
