Police identify man found dead in Coeur d’Alene

COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — Authorities have released the name of the man shot and killed in Coeur d’Alene on Thursday evening.

According to a release, officers were called to a shooting near Third Street and Roosevelt Avenue. They rushed to the area and found 41-year-old Noah Peterson dead. Police also found a 49-year-old man shot.

Jeremy Pardue was sent to Kootenai health with non-life threatening injuries.

Before the shooting, police got a report of a robbery in the 2900 block of W. Fairway Dr. around 5:30 p.m. The victim told the officer his car was taken at gunpoint. While police were looking for the suspect, the call about the shooting came out.

Idaho State Police spotted the stolen car and chased the suspect on Highway 97. In a Twitter post, ISP said troopers were involved in a shooting with a homicide suspect. They suffered minor injuries and were arrested.

Officials have not released the name of the suspect.
