SPOKANE, Wash. — We are just one day away from the big reveal of the new library at the Carl Maxey Center!

The new library was the vision of Sandy Williams, the center’s executive director, who was tragically killed in a seaplane crash in September.

Before her passing, Mark Peterson had been in talks with Williams about her vision for the space. Now, Peterson and the Extreme Team are making that happen.

On Tuesday, crews and volunteers painted walls, installed floors and placed countertops. On Wednesday, they finished the painting and preparing the final touches for work on Thursday. Mountain States Electrical helped with the electrical wiring inside as well.
