Philip M. Wareham
Philip M. Wareham was born November 20, 1935, in Quincy, Massachusetts. He graduated high school in Quincy and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955. Philip was in the Air Force for 20 years stationed at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake; Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights, Washington; Lockbourne Air Force Base in Ohio; Kadina Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan; Beal Air Force Base, Marysville, California; and Cannon Air Force Base Cloris, New Mexico. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Philip became an accountant in Newport, WA specializing in taxes.
Philip was very active with the Boy Scouts troop 696 for 13 years, an active member of the American Legion Post 217 for 43 years, and a member of the VFW. Philip passed away at home January 24, 2018. He was 82. He is survived by his brother William Wareham (Beverly), wife Joann and by four children: Ann Wareham of Newport, WA, Steve (Diann) Wareham of Spokane Valley, WA, Jeff (Stacey) Wareham of Spokane Valley, WA; John (Tammy) Wareham of Mead, WA. Philip is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother.
Philip resided in Newport, WA with his family for 43 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 30th at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Newport, Washington. Interment followed at Newport Cemetery Veterans section.
