Pavement on SR 20 near Tiger starts to peel in extreme heat

PEND OREILLE CO., Wash. — Pavement on State Route 20 west of Tiger has started to peel in extreme regional heat.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, crews will be working to repave the westbound lanes this week.

WSDOT will sand the road to keep it from peeling back further during the heatwave.

Across the state, many sidewalks and roads have been buckling in extreme conditions.
