Passengers stranded after drunk co-pilot removed from flight
German police say a plane’s co-pilot was removed from a flight about to take off after an airport official alerted them to the pilot alleged drunkenness.
According to The Local, the Portugalia co-pilot was seen “walking unsteadily” and smelled of alcohol before entering the cockpit Friday. Prosecutors have suspended the co-pilot’s flying license and authorities held him on $12,000 bail.
The airline canceled the flight, stranding 106 passengers.
