Oversize load damages bridge over I-90 near Ritzville
ADAMS CO., Wash. — Crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation will spend Wednesday assessing damage done to the Danekas Road bridge over I-90 between Sprague and Ritzville.
According to WSDOT, an oversized load struck the bridge on Tuesday night, breaking the concrete and exposing wires. Westbound lanes of I-90 were temporarily closed, but have since reopened. The northbound lane of Danekas Road will remain closed until crews can further assess the damage.

WSDOT said crews responded to the scene Tuesday night and removed loose debris, bent the rebar back and secured strands on the girder.
