Out of the Darkness and Silence
The Miracle Worker, the story of Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan, has returned to Spokane for a short time. This is your opportunity to see the inspiring story come to life as Annie Sullivan comes into Helen Keller’s world of darkness and silence, having been left blind and deaf from a childhood illness. With Annie’s persistance the doors to Helen’s world are unlocked and Helen learns to communicate with the world outside her own.
Helen is played by Caroline Slater and Paige Kubicek and Annie Sullivan is played by Sarah Denison. The play is directed by Patty Duke who played Helen Keller in 1962 and received an academy award.
