Osprey makes a nest on Spokane Valley construction crane

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — An osprey decided to make a nest on the top of a crane in a Spokane Valley construction zone.

The crane is located near 10th and Carnahan.

Osprey used to be hard to find in the Inland Northwest, but lately have made a comeback.

If the nest had an egg in it, it would have become a federal matter and the rented crane could have been stuck there.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife was called in to investigate and found no eggs, so the nest has been removed.
