Open enrollment underway for individual healthcare plans in 2019
SPOKANE, Wash. —
Open enrollment for health care coverage in 2019 is underway. Better Health Together is a free and local resource to help guide individuals in search of a plan that’s right for them. So far, they haven’t seen any big price hikes with those they’ve met with.
Better Health Together says even if you were happy with your plan last year, it’s still important to shop around this year as plans do change. It might be worth a visit to them to go options if you rely on medication or own your own business, and especially if you are from the Marshall Islands.
Alicyn Elder, with Better Health Together explained, “earlier this year the state legislature enacted a bill to help get insurance for these individuals who were not eligible for coverage, so this is really going to help those individuals, especially low income individuals get in to see a doctor.”
Remember this year, you’ve got less time to sign up, open enrollment ends on the 15th of December.
Walk-ins at better health together are welcome, but making an appointment can help you avoid wait times. You can make an appointment by calling, 321-7500.
