Only isolated evening thunderstorms after a BUSY day of severe weather – Kris

The photos of hail and wind damage are still pouring into the 4 News Now First Alert Weather Center.  It’s been a day of wild thunderstorms for at least part of the area, but other than a few isolated storms this evening, it will be a much quieter night. Low temperatures will drop to the mid-60s with partly cloudy skies overnight. The best chance for additional storm development will be over the southern Idaho Panhandle.

Friday Planner     Friday Highs

A slight chance of thunderstorms will return to the forecast Friday afternoon and evening.  Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies and another hot day.  High temperatures will top out in the mid-90s.  There’s a cooldown for the weekend, but not much of one.  Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 80s. The more serious heat returns next work week when we could get close to 100° by Wednesday
