Northern Quest prepares for busiest night of the year
Their New Years' celebrations have something for everyone, from parties to special dinners and fun for the kids
Staff at Northern Quest have been burning the midnight oil as they prepare for their busiest night of the year. Thousands are expected to attend New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Airway Heights resort and casino, and while rooms are completely booked, there’s still room for more at the parties!
Their New Year’s Eve line-up boasts a disco with the Bootie Shakers on the Pavilion where 2,000 balloons will drop at midnight. A Roaring Twenties -themed party where dressing in ’20s attire (think flapper dresses) will get you in for free. Epic will have a DJ spinning hits all night long and Masselows and other dining venues will have specialty menu items to make it a night to remember!
Pastry chefs say they’ve been working for a month on dessert menu options. For the last few weeks, it’s been hard for team members to find a day to take off as they shift from preparing hundreds of desserts per day to thousands for one night. It’s stressful, but pastry chef Kristina Stephenson said it’s her favorite time of year because it gives her the chance to get even more creative and have some fun.
Tickets to all celebrations are still available and range in price from $5 to $25. Babysitting is also still available at Kids Quest till 2am.
