North Idaho prepares for winter storm to hit
SANDPOINT, Idaho — Road conditions in North Idaho have been getting progressively worse throughout the day Thursday.
People in Sandpoint have been working to unbury themselves from the foot and a half of snow they’ve gotten in the last few days, and getting prepped for the up to 15 more inches they could get Thursday night and throughout Friday.

The National Weather Service says travel will be difficult if not impossible when that storm hits.
The snow that has already fallen is keeping plows very busy and they are expecting long days to come.
If you do decide to hit the roads, the Department of Transportation recommends keeping a flashlight, extra batteries, a snack and water, along with winter gear and a first aid kit in your car.
