A 23- year-old woman was arrested and charged with DUI after driving her car the wrong way on Interstate 90 and colliding with another vehicle.

Washington State Patrol says Eva Salcedo, from Kirkland, Washington, was headed eastbound in the westbound I-90 lanes near milepost 289. Another driver, with three juveniles in his car, was headed the correct direction.

Salcedo struck the other car, and then came to rest in the ditch off of the shoulder. The second car stopped in between two lanes. WSP says she was also driving too fast.

Salcedo was injured and transported to a hospital, where she was treated and released into custody. Her passenger, and all passengers of the second vehicle, were not injured. Both cars were totaled and impounded.
