No-Li Brewery wins one of the top world beer honors
SPOKANE, Wash. — For the first time, a Spokane brewery has won a medal in the prestigious World Beer Cup awards.
No-Li’s Born & Raised IPA took silver! This is No-Li Brewery’s 25th international brewing medal competing against the world’s finest brewers and brands.
“The World Beer Cup showcases the breadth of the global brewing community and winning an award symbolizes one of the greatest brewing achievements,” Charlie Papazian, the association’s founder and past president said.
No-Li Brewery owner John Bryant issued a statement thanking the Spokane community for supporting the business as he looks ahead to creating more opportunities in the community through the beer industry.
“We believe in Spokane. We believe Spokane, Washington will become a brewing epicenter in the USA and these successes will create new living wage jobs, a vibrant local economy, build tourism, tax dollars to invest back into our schools and roads and add ot the culture of Spokane,” Bryant said.
This year 8,234 beers were entered into the competition by 2,515 breweries from 66 countries, in 101 style categories. They were evaluated by 295 judges from 33 countries.
