No. 1 Zags handle test at Creighton, stay undefeated at 8-0
OMAHA, Neb. — Gonzaga trailed by as much as 11 in the first half, but Zach Norvell Jr.’s 23 second-half points push the Bulldogs to a 103-92 win over Creighton.
The Zags handled all they could take from a loud environment in Omaha, trailing for more than 25 minutes in the game. Josh Perkins and Corey Kispert both picked up two fouls in the first half, as the Bluejays were lights out from the three point line, they had a 7-point lead at half.
Three Zags put up more tha 20 points, led by Norvell Jr. who tied a career high with 28 points, Brandon Clarke had 27 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks, while Rui Hachimura also had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
No. 1 Gonzaga is now 8-0 and hosts Washington next Wednesday at 8 p.m.
