Spokane City Council final mini-forum

SPOKANE, Wash. - Ballots are out for the November election, and on Wednesday, Kxly4's Robyn Nance moderated our final mini-forum between two Spokane City Council candidates.

Kate Burke and Tim Benn are vying for the vacant seat left by Amber Waldref in District 1.

Kxly4 and Greater Spokane Incorporated hosted the mini-forum on Facebook LIVE at noon Wednesday.

Burke says she's running because she believed Northeast Spokane deserves a fair share of the city's budget.

And Benn says if he's elected, he'll focus his attention on property crimes and road repairs, and more engagement with citizens.
