Spokane AAU registration is now open, with new grades and divisions offered

SPOKANE, Wash. - Registration for Spokane AAU is now open for the season, with a deadline of September 27.

With Hoopfest out of the way, Spokane AAU is returning as the region's premier youth basketball league. For the first time in 30 years, the league is expanding its age brackets and divisions.

The AAU is adding a 3rd grade level following high demand and local interest. They are also breaking the 4th-8th grade levels into two divisions.

According to a press release, Division I is designed for ‘seasoned players,' while Division II is for players looking to improve their skills or simply appreciate the game.

Spokane AAU hopes this will allow them to serve a broader range of athletes and basketball lovers around town. The union does not form teams, but do try to help non-rostered players find teams through their Free Agent Forum on Facebook.

You can find more information on the Hoopfest website.
