Self-proclaimed porn star pleads guilty in N. Idaho murder-for-hire plot

POST FALLS, Idaho - A self-proclaimed porn star from Post Falls has pleaded guilty to two charges of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire.

Katrina Danforth, who went by the name Lynn Pleasant and Lynn Passion online, originally pleaded not guilty to the charges. She took a plea deal Monday in federal court.

Danforth admitted to using the phone and mail to hire and kill someone identified as “R.H.” in court documents.

According to court documents, Danforth admitted she wanted the father of one of her children murdered. Danforth was married to someone with the same initials. She divorced that man in 2015 and the two had a shared custody agreement.

Court documents state Danforth discussed her murder-for-hire plot with another person who provided her the phone number for a “hitman.” Court documents state that hitman was an undercover police officer.

Danforth was set to meet with the hitman on October 22, 2018 and agreed to pay $5,000 in exchange for the murder. Court documents detail the arrangements she set, including that the victim’s body was to be found and she did not care if other people were harmed, as long as her own children were not.

Court documents show Danforth continued to discuss the proposed crime through November 19. She used phone conversations and text messages to facilitate the murder for hire plot and mailed a thank you card with half of the money to the hitman’s address in Montana. Investigators said this money was a down payment for the hit with the remaining $2,500 to be paid once the murder was committed.

On Monday, Danforth admitted to all of this and said the events occurred in the District of Idaho.
Danforth faces up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
