BONNER COUNTY, ID -- Deputies with the Bonner County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for violating a stipulation as a registered sex offender.Â
According to the Sheriff's Office, 68-year-old David Stewart was taken into custody Saturday, March 25, while attending a performance of "Mama Mia" at Sandpoint High School.
Law enforcement says it was reported to them March 23 that Stewart attended a prior performance on March 17 at Sandpoint High School which violates Idaho Code 18-8329, Prohibited Access to Children.Â
During their investigation, Bonner County investigators say they learned Stewart was planning to attend another performance on the 25th and arrested that evening.
Bonner County Sheriff's Office says through their investigation, they learned Stewart was communicating with a minor calling himself a "pen pal."
