POST FALLS, Idaho - The City of Post Falls Planning and Zoning Committee denied a special use permit request that would have allowed the Amway House to be used a bed and breakfast.
The special use permit was submitted by John Beutler, a realtor and broker who represents the house's owners.
The Amway House is a 13-bed, 13-bath, 28,469 square foot house that sits along the Spokane River in Post Falls. It is currently on the market for just under $8.5 million.
In a phone interview, Beutler said the special permit was submitted after the owners received several inquiries about hosting wedding and big group events at the house.
