Police toy drive needs public's help

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The Coeur d'Alene Police Department is once again working to make the holiday season special for children with its annual toy drive.

All the toys collected are given to area Children's Hospitals.  Donated toys and other items help comfort kids and ease their fear and anxiety. A child waking up after surgery with a new stuffed animal by their side, or receiving a new toy on birthdays or holidays can make difficult time a little more special for a child.

The department's goal is to fill a 12 foot x 8 foot enclosed trailer with toys to distribute to various
hospitals including Kootenai Health and Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.

They will be collecting toys on the following dates:
Sunday, November 26th from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Hayden Walmart
Saturday, December 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Hayden Walmart
