According to Sgt. Damon Jansen with the Richland Police Department, the call for help came in around 10:15 a.m. A tow truck driver in the neighborhood said they saw a woman in the road near the intersection of McMurray Avenue and Marshall Avenue. According to Sgt. Jansen, another man came out of a home and said they had been shot.
Upon investigating, authorities said it is believed to be a targeted attack but that is preliminary information. At this time, Sgt. Jansen said it is believed the shooter left the scene and is considered armed and dangerous.
At this time it is unknown when the shooting took place, but authorities are actively searching for the suspect.

Several law enforcement agencies are on the scene of a shooting in a Richland neighborhood.
Details are limited at this time but authorities with the Richland Police Department, Benton County Sheriff's Office and the Pasco Police Department are on scene.
There is crime scene tape up around a home in the area of McMurray Avenue.
Richland Police said one person is dead and two others were taken to the hospital.
At this time, they do not have the suspect identified and it is believed they left the scene.
KAPP-KVEW's Alyssa Warner said she saw a person getting into an ambulance and that officers are walking the neighborhood talking to neighbors.
This may not be the only location investigators are looking at in connection to this scene.
Authorities are searching for witnesses and the people involved, but all other information is unconfirmed at this time so it will not be released.
KAPP-KVEW's Rylee Fitzgerald said the Richland Police official she talked to said they don't believe the community is in danger at this time.
Nearby Jason Lee Elementary is not on a lockdown, school officials confirmed, but police are in contact with them and will keep them updated.
