SPOKANE, Wash. --- - Spokane Police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store on the South Hill.
Amerimart is in the 3900 block of east 29th Avenue.
Employees tell KXLY this is the second time they were robbed, and they worry the same person could be responsible for both crimes.
On Monday evening around 10, a man walked into Amerimart.
"It was near the end of my shift," recalled the employee, who wanted to remain anonymous. "A man came in and walked up toward me, and threatened me to give him the money from the till, then ran out."
"He told [the employee] if he makes one move, he's got something in his pocket [and] he'll hurt him," said Manager Patricia Bradshaw.
Patricia Bradshaw and the employee think they've seen the guy before. Just two weeks ago, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Amerimart was robbed.
These two experiences shook the employee to the core.
"I get jumpy when someone walks into the store with their hands in their pockets or with a hood over their face or something from the cold," he explained. "It's pretty unnerving. It's an intense feeling. I was up all night last night after it happened."
Amerimart posted pictures from both robberies up behind their cash register, hoping someone will come forward with information.
"It's probably the same person because it's the same voice, and a similar MO," said the employee.
Spokane Police describe the man from Monday night's burglary as a white male, mid twenties, about 5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing grey sweatpants and white sneakers.
"It's just scary," Bradshaw said. "This is a nice neighborhood. We have a lot of nice customers that come in here."
Patricia and the employee hope the police will find the man -- or men -- responsible soon.
"I hope he's caught and brought to justice," the employee said.
