GLENDALE, AZ — The Seattle Seahawks remain the top dog of the NFC West following Sunday’s 31-21 win against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Hawks were coming off a 27-win over the New York Giants. Facing off against a division opponent, the Hawks wanted to continue to build on their already impressive season.

Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense dominated from the start. They won the first-down battle 27-15, outgaining the Cardinals in yards 423-262.

Smith finished the day with 275 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, which was returned for a touchdown. After the pick-6, Smith was nearly flawless, completing 10/12 throws for 123 yards and a touchdown.

The rushing attack was also solid in Sunday’s win. Rookie tailback Kenneth Walker III had 24 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns.

But the Cardinals wouldn’t go away so easily. Tight end Zach Ertz caught a pass from QB Kyler Murray in the end zone to make it a one-score game. But a long pass from Smith to tight end Noah Fant would help the Hawks burn the clock and get the win, which was secured by a Walker III touchdown.

The overall offensive effort, combined with holding Murray to only 145 passing yards, helped the Seahawks get the season sweep over one of their divisional opponents. The Seahawks also only had six penalties compared to the Cardinals’ 12 penalties.

Seattle, now 6-3, will travel to Germany to play Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You can watch the game on NFL Network. Kickoff is at 6:30 a.m.
