Officer arrested for domestic violence, placed on leave

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Police Department has placed Officer Nicholas Spolski on administrative leave following his arrest for domestic violence Thursday.

According to police, the department was made aware of an allegation of domestic violence against Spolski on Thursday, Nov. 30.  The alleged incident occurred on Sunday, November, 26, at a home in North Spokane County involving Spolski and the victim he has been dating.

Spokane County Sheriff deputies went to Spolski's home and arrested him for fourth degree domestic assault.

It is standard procedure for the department to place any member on administrative leave following an arrest while the matter is being investigated.

An internal investigation will be conducted once the criminal investigation is complete.
